The Middle School House Program.

 The TSH Middle School Program is revolutionary in the middle school space.
Adolescents of this age are extraordinary.
Yet, for far too long we’ve put them in this “teen” box saying they are lazy,
or screen obsessed or even that they sleep too much! 

​

What we do best at The School House is use pedagogical evidence – the science of
how children learn – to develop this best curriculum in the country (and the only
one to have many of our attributes), to educate the whole child and to craft an
environment for their passions and dreams to come forth in productivity, creativity
and early success.

Pre-Teens and Teens who are athletes, entrepreneurs, academics, scientists,
performers and doers now have a place where they can excel in academics, prepare
for high school, pursue their inner drive and give back to the community in
service and with their talent.

Additionally, the partnership with our families is at the core of all we do. As pre-
teens begin to find their place in the world, how do their Parents and Educators
work together to show them support and further their independence and confidence
level? Through consistent communication and scheduled time to discuss topics
that will aid their growth, our triangle remains intact and powerful.
 

Time is allotted for a Learner to further their passion or begin a new interest that
looks to be something they will pursue as they get older. Educators work with
your Learner to better understand what they would like to explore and weekly time
is planned during their 7th grade year to start this work with a mentor or coach. As

they begin their 8th grade year, time is spent putting this knowledge into some type
of hands-on project and/or activity, where the Learner will further their
understanding and experience as well as moving to the next level of their craft.

Technology will be a piece of their experience, but it will not be the main event.
TSH will use programs like Canva, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, ChatGPT (A.I.).…to
enhance their understanding of certain projects, along with ways of having
communication and applicable feedback from their Educators.

Important characteristics of this age are harnessed learning how to organize their
day and week with goals and plan for success, limit harmful behaviors, orate
important topics, write proficiently, practice the latest science, become
mathematically fluid, balance a budget, communicate effectively in letters or
emails and so much more.

Educators at The Middle House are exclusive masters in their field,
each having completed both the coveted AMI Training and experts in our foundational and scientifically-proven American Emergent Curriculum.

 

An affiliate of The School House, The Middle School House is the next level up in the ground-breaking American Emergent Curriculum, which has been in practice at The School House for the past 6 years. 

Graduation from The School House is not a requirement to attend The Middle School House.  The beauty of our curriculum is that is designed to meet the Learner where they are.

prospective Learners.
